The US Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken said that “on behalf of the United States of America, I express our deep sorrow over the loss of life and destruction due to the earthquake that struck Morocco, and I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims.”
Blinken added, in a statement published by the US State Department, that “the United States stands ready to provide any necessary assistance as Morocco responds to this tragedy.”
The US Secretary of State affirmed his country’s solidarity with the Moroccan people, saying: “We express our firm support and solidarity with our Moroccan partners in these difficult times.”
