The organizers of a concert by French rapper Ninho, which was canceled by Casablanca authorities, will be held at a different venue, organizers told Hespress.

Director of the organizing company Moustapha Labyad told Hespress that he had not received any official rejection from the local authorities or the venue’s management.

“We understand the authorities’ refusal to organize the concert for security reasons, and we support that because the interest of our country is first and foremost,” Labyad told Hespress in a statement, noting that “last year, the artist performed in Morocco, and more than 12,000 people attended because he is an artist with an excellent fame”

While the organizing company expressed understanding of the security considerations, they were disappointed by the lack of prior notification, as it will result in significant financial losses for the artist.

Labyad noted that his company is now in the process of securing a new location for the concert, aiming for a bigger audience and a more elaborate setup.
