French rapper Booba’s Morocco concert has been canceled, as confirmed by organizers.

After the great controversy that followed the artist’s appearance on a Moroccan stage, a strong campaign started on social media platforms calling for the cancellation.

Audiences complained of the singer’s offensive and degrading words against Moroccan women, which he had mad prior to this announced concert.

The concert’s ticket sale platform has remained operational since the event’s announcement, as statements from both the artist and local authorities contradicted each-other, with some claiming the concert was cancelled, while others assured it is still on.

But today, the official website of the event revealed that the sale was stopped as the event was canceled by a decision from the event producer.

The same source stated that the value of the tickets purchased by the audience will be transferred to a balance through their accounts on the selling platform, and they can benefit from them in the for of upcoming purchases.
