Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won re-election, according to unofficial data from state media Anadolu Agency, reporting temporary results.
Erdogan received 52.1 percent of votes in the second round on Sunday, with a 97% ballot box opening rate.
After he failed to dominate the first round on May 14, the incumbent President has beat rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who won 47.9%, according to the same source.
Turkey’s Supreme Election Council has yet to confirm the results.
Images from Turkey show Erdogan’s loyal partisans celebrating this win, as the President started receiving congratulatory messages from different heads of state.
