The Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research held on Wednesday The study day on the school and career advice system.
Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, outlined several initiatives intended to change the Moroccan orientation landscape.
The Ministry announced the launch of an artificial intelligence observatory soon, in collaboration with the Polytechnic University Mohammed VI. The observatory will provide five digital coaches for free, open to the public resources.
Users of the platform will be able to attach their resumes and receive recommendations for prospective trades based on their profiles and locations, and the portal will provide a dynamic library of employment and trades. The tool will also offer statistics of the various industries, based on the gathered data.
The initiative, according to the Minister, seeks to include the community of trainers and counselors into this new dynamic.
The proposal also calls for the implementation of an internship program beginning in primary school, giving kids as young as 6 the chance to spend half a day working for an association or a business.
Students would be able to comprehend professional issues and acquire a more tangible and realistic view of the working world thanks to these hands-on experiences in the field.
The minister emphasized the necessity for deeper collaborations between enterprises and institutions, to address the needs of graduates.
Sekkouri suggested developing an animation system to improve the school orientation circuit and emphasize the significance of the intern position.
The Ministry also demanded immediate legislative action to control all forms of internships, whether they are paid or unpaid.
The Minister advised looking into low-cost options for supporting interns. He emphasized the value of working with both sorts of private businesses, those with and without Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
