The government majority held its fourth meeting since its inauguration on Thursday evening, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government and President of the National Rally of Independents, along with Abdellatif Ouahbi, Secretary General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), and Nizar Baraka, General Secretary of the Istiqlal party.

The meeting was attended by ministers and heads of parliamentary groups from the parties of the government majority in both the House of Representatives and the Council of Counselors, as well as the Secretary General of the Democratic and Social Movement (MDS), Abdessamad Archane, and Mohamed Joudar, Secretary General of the Constitutional Union Party (UC).

The parties of the government majority reaffirmed their commitment to working together to ensure the implementation of their government programs and reforms.

Akhannouch addressed the challenges faced by the agricultural sector, including the problem of water shortage, high prices of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides that contribute to the high cost of production.

He assured the government was working to find a solution to the problem of water scarcity, whether through desalination or transport.

Ouahbi highlighted that the government majority works in harmony and is stronger, and that the government is moving forward to meet the aspirations of King Mohammed VI and the citizens. Baraka also emphasized the importance of the meeting, discussing achievements and reforms undertaken to respond to national and international issues.

Additionally, the parties of the government coalition strongly condemned the practices of the Israeli forces against the Palestinians and the storming of the holy mosque of Al-Aqsa.

The majority praised the efforts of King Mohammed VI to defend the Holy City of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, support Palestinian populations and institutions, and establish a fully sovereign and viable Palestinian State with Al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital. They stressed that escalation would jeopardize all chances of establishing peace, security, and stability in the region.
