Morocco’s Authenticity and Modernity party (PAM) is calling for “an emergency meeting” of the leaderships of the RNI, PAM and Istiqlal “to examine the new economic situation and its difficult impact on the daily lives of many segments of society.”
The party body also demanded that the government “to further strengthen the monitoring, and firmly confront the greed of speculators whose actions are a national betrayal in circumstances as difficult as our country,” taking the initiative to call for this meeting gathering the country’s majority parties.
The government spokesman had reacted on Thursday, March 22, to popular criticisms about rising costs, by promising that they will be examined by the government majority.
Since then, nothing has been done to get the three parties of the majority to agree on the issue of soaring prices.
