The Court of Audits is maintaining the accuracy of the data contained in its report for the year 2021, regarding pharmacists’ profits, according to a Hespress AR source.
The data is deemed fake by the unions that represent professionals in the pharmaceutical industry.
The profit margins of pharmacists, according to a source from the Court of Audits, “are not invented by the council, but are stipulated in the decree related to the conditions and methods for determining the price of selling locally manufactured or imported medicines to the public, issued on December 18, 2013.”
The same source stated that “the reports issued by the Council are completely accurate, as they are prepared by several committees, which ensure the collection of data, audited, and transmissed to the relevant government sector for a response, then returned to the Council, before being submitted to the King.”
This came as a response to the pharmacists’ unions’ request for a date correction amid the ongoing profit controversy.
Pharmacists are now planning a national 24-hour strike, amid the ongoing profit controversy.
