Security services in Marrakesh arrested on Friday an Irish tourist who was wearing a prison jumpsuit, and had his hands and feet tied with an iron chain, in an unfamiliar scene that prompted his arrest.

The Irish YouTuber, called Dara Tah, was arrested in the Old Medina after locals called in police on him.

Tah, 27, was playing out a challenge that he announced in September where he faked a prison escape from “the middle of Slovakia in Eastern Europe with the goal of crossing the entirety of Europe to get back to Ireland with just a few problems,” he said in the video description for the challenge.

“I’m wearing a prison outfit, I’m chained and handcuffed, I have no money and if the police stop me… I lose the challenge. In this video you’ll see how long I could last while on the run from the police.”

Tah was kept in police custody pending investigations, informed sources told Hespress AR.

Tah is known for travel and adventure videos. He has travelled to places like Ireland and Area 51 in the Nevada desert.  He has earned more than 220,000 subscribers on his Dara Tah channel.
