More than 700,000 people signed an online “France stop crying” petition, launched by an Argentina fan in response to a request for the World Cup final to be replayed.

French fans previously launched a petition to request that the final be replayed, following Les Bleus’ defeat against Argentina, which garnered more than 200,000 signatures.

France also lodged an official complaint to FIFA regarding Argentinian goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, whose celebratory antics sparked controversy.

The Albiceleste then responded with a petition of their own, asking France to “stop crying,” which amassed over 65,000 signatures within hours.

The petition currently sits at 748,634 signatures.
