The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the World Council of Muslim Communities (WCMC) signed on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of culture and education.
The memorandum, signed by Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the CCME, and Ali Rashid Al-Nuaimi, President of the World Council of Muslim Communities, aims to promote the exchange of experiences between the two parties in the field of education, as well as the organization of training sessions, seminars and cultural activities of common interest.
In his speech, Boussouf welcomed the signing of the agreement and stressed the importance of the role played by the World Council of Muslim Communities in helping Muslim societies integrate positively in their host countries and achieve harmony between religious commitment and belonging to the homeland.
He added that one of the council’s objectives is to bring about intellectual and cultural change in Muslim societies in different countries.
For his part, Al-Nuaimi praised the CCME’s role in immigration, stressing that this role is complementary to the objectives of the World Council of Muslim Communities, which works to “build bridges of trust and respect between our societies and emphasizes the need for young people to live with the values of tolerance and coexistence.”
