A number of Arab leaders represented their countries at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to pay their respect to the British monarchs. Prince Moulay Rachid arrived in London to represent King Mohamed VI.

The funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to the longest-serving monarch in the presence of world rulers, politicians, leaders, and more.

From the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum arrived yesterday to pay his respect and met with King Charles.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani of Qatar joined as well.

Among the other Arab representatives who came is Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah of Kuwait and Mohammed Shtayyeh, prime minister of Palestine.

From Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa came to represent his country with Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

King Abdullah II arrived from Jordan with Queen Rania Al Abdullah and their son prince Hussein bin Abdullah.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman came too.

Following his arrival, Prince Moulay Rachid was welcomed at London Stansted airport by a special representative of King Charles III, the King’s ambassador in London, and the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in London.

Ever since the Queen’s death on September 8, the UK has been in a 10 days national mourning period. It should end after the funeral.
