Casablanca authorities arrested Sunday evening 23 football fans, including minors, following the suspicion of their involvement in committing acts of violence and riots during and after the game.
The riots caused material losses to public property, violence against public officials during the performance of their duties, and possession of a weapon in circumstances that pose a threat to the safety of citizens and property, a security source told Hespress.
The suspects, along with other people committed acts related to football riots during and after the game for the National Professional Football Championship in Casablanca between Raja and Safi, added the same source.
Those suspects were also throwing stones at the public forces, causing 12 injuries among police officials, and material losses to a security car, according to the same source.
