The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Annual Club Licensing Continental Seminar successfully kicked off Thursday in Egypt’s capital, said the confederation in a recent press release.
The seminar aims to resent the new regulatory framework for the CAF Club Licensing System for men and women, exchange knowledge and expertise with the FIFA and other confederations on club licensing and present the new regulatory framework for stadiums, among other goals.
CAF Executive Committee Member and Vice-Chairman of the CAF Organising Committee for Interclub Competitions and Club Licensing Management System, Colonel Major Djibrilla Hima Hamidou said, “the club licensing system has evolved significantly to become a key tool for the development and professionalization of football in Africa.”
“CAF wants to see uniformity across members and also across all CAF competitions both men and women. The aim of CAF is that the club licensing system has an effect and contributes to raising the standards at domestic football level,” he added, according to the press release.
The seminar runs until July 31, with the presence of participants and guests members of CAF Executive Committee, CAF Organising Committees, 54 Member Associations, zonal unions, FIFA and sister confederations, FIFPRO Africa, Club Licensing Seminar Instructors and others.
