Over 10,000 passengers have traveled between Almeria and Nador since the resumption of maritime passenger traffic on April 23, according to the Port Authority of Almeria (APA).

Since the embarkment of the first ferry Wasa Express from Almeria to Nador with 53 passengers and 45 vehicles of goods, 10,079 passengers and 8,410 cargo vehicles have traveled between both cities.

In 2019, more than 50% of the 950,000 passengers who have transited through the port of Almeria, had as destination or origin Nador, a total of 507,620 people.

More than 17,600 passengers traveled on the ferries that connect Almeria and Nador in 2021, representing 25% of the total number of travelers who passed through the port of Almeria.

Most were truckers, especially since maritime cargo traffic was not suspended, despite the closure of the borders since March 2020.
