The Tarajal border crossing has two entry and exit lanes to facilitate traffic to and from Morocco, but traffic overwhelmed all entry points, reports El Mundo.
Hundreds of vehicles showed up at the border, creating a long queue., where national police had to intervene to calm travelers’ nerves.
The Spanish and Moroccan governments are currently trying to reach an agreement for the installation of a commercial customs in Ceuta in order to facilitate the flow of goods.
In the meantime, passenger traffic has been fully restored in both directions, which is good news for Moroccan and European tourists.
