Palestinian-American supermodel Bella Hadid called for justice for Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh’s murder.

Hadid kept sharing and commenting stories on her Instagram account to her 51.8 million followers.

“Journalism is not a crime”, she wrote in an Instagram post, adding, “cameras are not violence.”

“The truth should not equal death,” she added, resharing a post stating, “to kill a journalist is to kill the truth.”

“I have no words, I just have no words anymore – And the thing is. They will try to justify it. They will try to validate this senseless murder,” she stated in another Instagram story.

The 51-year-old reporter was killed on Wednesday, after that she was shot, reportedly below the ear, as she was covering a military raid in the Palestinian Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

Abu Akleh, a Palestinian Christian who also held US citizenship, was a prominent figure in the channel’s Arabic news service, mainly covering the Palestinian resistance and Israeli attacks.
