Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Nikola Silakovic reiterated on Wednesday his country’s support for Morocco’s autonomy plan proposal for Western Sahara.

This move came after both Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita, and Nikola Silakovic held talks while attending the International Coalition anti-ISIS meeting held in Marrakech.

Silakovic highlighted the diplomatic and political efforts made by Morocco in order to come up with a sustainable solution to the Sahara issue, in line with the United Nations resolutions.

Both parties said their countries share common interests in different fields, spanning the regional and international levels.

During the same day, the Netherlands and Romania also supported Morocco’s autonomy plan for Western Sahara.
