The fish market in Rabat witnessed Sunday a spike in prices, as some fish prices exceeded MAD140 per kilogram.
The prices of most types of fish have remarkably jumped from their prices in the last few days, especially sardine and Shatton, and Sole.
The price of one kilogram of sardines reached MAD30 since the early hours of this morning, while the price of Shatton reached MAD60, while fish sellers set the price of sole at MAD150.
The soaring fish prices coincides with the Holy month of Ramadan, noting a record high price tag that exceeds the purchasing power of most Moroccan citizens.
