The Fennecs won the game against Tunisia this Saturday, December 18 in Qatar (0-2). A victory that allows them to lift the trophy of the 10th Arab Cup in history and the first organised under the patronage of FIFA.
Sayoud scored the first goal of the game before Brahimi doubled the score on the last action of the game.
Thanks to two extra-time goals from Amir Sayoud (99′) and a final goal in the last seconds of Yacine Brahimi (120’+5).
Algeria was the first to attempt scoring as header Baghdad Bounedjah was halted by Tunisia’s keeper Mouez Hassen.
Tunisia’s best chance to end the 0-0 tie fell to Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri. Both sides failed to score and the game went into extra time.
Earlier, Qatar took third place in the tournament thanks to their victory against Egypt.
