The Ministry of National Education has set the age for passing the exam for teaching jobs and administrative positions in schools at 30 years or less, starting from next year.
Previously, candidates who would not be older than 45 at the start of their job were eligible to participate in the exam.
Sources from the ministry told Hespress that the new age limit was amended to ensure the permanent commitment of teachers to the service of the public school and to maintain effective investment in their training.
The new updates in next year’s exam include a mandatory motivation letter in which the candidate will highlight their motives for choosing the teaching profession.
The ministry’s sources said that candidates should not have any employment agreement with an institution in the private education sector or any other employer.
For next year’s exam, the ministry will take into consideration the candidates ‘grades in baccalaureate and bachelor’s degrees, as well the year of obtaining the latter, according to Hespress sources.
The graduates of science education’s programs will have a direct pass to written exams, added the source.
Next year’s exam announcement highlights that the candidate must be Moroccan, with full civil rights and no prior conviction of a misdemeanor or felony.
