The Ministry of Interior stated that the participation rate in the regional, communal and legislative elections today reached 36% at the national level by 5 p.m.
The ministry explained, in a statement that the voting process for the election of members of the House of Representatives, communal and regional representatives is taking place under normal circumstances at the national level.
The Turnout at the polls reached 12% at 12 p.m to increase by 24% at 5 p.m reaching 36%.
About 17.9 million registered voters are voting for a total of 395 deputies in the House of Representatives, and at least 31,000 communal and regional representatives.
Electoral campaigns began August 26, taking up to 13 days, with the participation of 31 political parties.
