Egyptian club Zamalek announced approving the transfer of Moroccan player Hamid Ahaddad, striker of the Zamalek club to Raja Sports.
The committee agreed, according to a club statement, to sell Ahaddad to Raja after agreeing on all financial matters between the two clubs and the player.
This decision came after Ahaddad waived USD300,000, the total of his outstanding dues owed by the Egyptian Zamalek, and even paid an additional USD100,000 from his own money to sell the remainder of his contract to Raja Club, and officially join its ranks.
Hamid Ahaddad was loaned to Moroccan Raja last season, and he returned last season to Zamalek and contributed to the crowning of Zamalek in the Premier League season 2020-2021.
The Raja team was able to conclude important deals in the current summer, which was extended until next September 9, and included a number of players, such as the Guinean Mustafa Kouyati, Burkinabe Sami Hien, Sufian Al Azhari, Mohamed Al Nahiri, Omar Al Omrani, Gambian Djibril Silla, and Jamal Harkas.
Hamid Ahaddad managed to participate in 19 out of 24 matches throughout the season, during which he scored 7 goals, to be the team’s third top scorer.
The technical staff of the Moroccan national team decided to include the player and give him a chance in the African Nations Cup for locals, he was able to prove his talent and gained the attention of many foreign clubs, including Zamalek.
