Four people were killed and 32 others injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the Casablanca-Agadir highway overnight Saturday, Morocco’s National Motorway Company (ADM) said.

The crash involved a bus, two cars and a truck traveling toward Agadir. According to ADM, the truck stopped in the emergency lane after suffering a tire failure, prompting two following vehicles to slow down before a bus struck them.

Four people sustained serious injuries, while 28 others suffered minor injuries.

A second collision occurred approximately 100 meters away, involving three cars and two trucks, causing material damage without reported casualties.

Emergency services, Royal Gendarmerie officers and local authorities responded to the scene.

Traffic was temporarily suspended between 2:40 a.m. and 3:10 a.m., with vehicles diverted through the Argana interchange.

Emergency operations concluded at 7:34 a.m. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crashes.
