Thunderstorms with a risk of hail and gusty winds are expected on Saturday and Sunday in several Moroccan provinces, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
These thunderstorms (20-30 mm) are forecast for Saturday from 3:40 p.m. to midnight in the provinces of Al-Hoceima, Chichaoua, Figuig, Chefchaouen, Azilal, Oujda-Angad, Al-Haouz, Tata, Tetouan, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Tinghir, Taroudant, Taza, Beni Mellal, Guercif, Taourirt, and Jerada, the DGM specified in an updated weather alert at the orange alert level.
Thunderstorms (20-40 mm) are also forecast for Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight in the provinces of Zagora, Figuig, Azilal, Eerrachidia, Midelt, Boulemane, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tinghir, Al-Haouz, and Tetouan.
