A preliminary report on women’s participation in Morocco’s 2026 parliamentary election will be presented in Rabat on Wednesday, September 30.
The conference is being organized by the Coalition for the Dignity and Rights of Women and Coalition 190 for a World of Work Free from Violence and Harassment.
The organizers said the conference will present initial findings and data collected on women’s participation in the September 23 parliamentary election.
The event will also open a broader discussion on women’s political representation and participation, including the obstacles that continue to limit their presence in elected institutions.
The report is expected to examine women’s participation as candidates and elected representatives and identify challenges to expanding their role in political life.
