Morocco’s Interior Ministry on Friday confirmed the final results of the Sept. 23 legislative elections, saying they fully match the provisional results announced the day after the vote.
The ministry said provincial and regional vote-counting commissions, chaired by judges, had completed the counting and formally deposited the election records with the Constitutional Court as required by law.
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) remained the largest party in the 395-member House of Representatives with 97 seats. The National Rally of Independents (RNI) won 66 seats, followed by the Istiqlal Party with 65 and the Justice and Development Party with 54.
The final seat distribution is:
- Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM): 97
- National Rally of Independents (RNI): 66
- Istiqlal Party: 65
- Justice and Development Party (PJD): 54
- Popular Movement: 29
- Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP): 26
- Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS): 19
- Constitutional Union: 17
- Democratic and Social Movement: 8
- Left Alliance: 8
- Front of Democratic Forces: 2
- Party of Equity: 2
- Party of New Democrats: 1
- Party of Unity and Democracy: 1
Candidates granted access to election records
The Interior Ministry said candidates have the right to inspect records from polling stations, central counting offices and provincial or regional counting commissions for eight full days during official working hours, beginning from the date the records were deposited.
Candidates whose election has been challenged also have the right to inspect and obtain copies of election records for eight days from the date they receive notice of the legal challenge, in accordance with Article 86 of the organic law governing the House of Representatives.
The confirmation of the final results follows the completion of the vote-counting process at the local and regional levels. The results will remain subject to the legal procedures governing electoral challenges and validation.
