Former Morocco international Khalid Boutaib announced Saturday that he is retiring from professional football, bringing an end to a career that saw him represent the national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Boutaib reflected on his career in an emotional message shared on social media, recalling how he spent several years playing amateur football while pursuing his studies.
In his farewell message, Boutaib thanked his family, friends, coaches, teammates, technical staff and supporters who accompanied him throughout his career.
