King Mohammed VI received a message of greetings from President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping on the occasion of Youth Day.
In the message, the Chinese President extends his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty the King.
President Xi Jinping hailed the deep historical friendship binding Morocco and China, stressing that both countries have upheld mutual respect, dialogue and shared gains since the establishment of diplomatic relations 68 years ago, with bilateral ties having witnessed sound and steady development.
Recalling the announcement of the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Morocco during the State visit the Sovereign made to China in 2016, the Chinese President underlines that after ten years of development, mutual trust between both countries has been further strengthened, practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges have continued to deepen. This has served as a model of solidarity and cooperation among countries of the Global South.
In the message, Xi Jinping also said that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Morocco relations, expressing his readiness to work together with His Majesty the King to further develop the historical friendship between the two countries and deepen communication and cooperation across all fields on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries, being celebrated this year, with a view to promoting the steady and sustainable development of bilateral relations.
