A report by Moroccan newspaper Al-Massae highlighted growing concerns over the demolition of a health center in the Sraghna municipality of El Kelaa des Sraghna province, with local rights and civil society groups warning that the delay in replacing the facility is affecting access to health care.
According to the newspaper, the demolition of the health center had initially been viewed as a potential step toward improving local health services and bringing care closer to residents, provided that construction of the replacement facility proceeded as planned.
However, local activists have expressed frustration over delays in completing the new center, describing the situation as increasingly concerning for residents who rely on the facility for basic health services.
The groups have also raised questions about the timeline for the replacement project and whether the authorities are adhering to the schedule initially set for its completion.
They are also calling for clarification on measures being taken to ensure the continuity of health services until the new facility becomes operational, stressing the need to provide residents with adequate care under conditions that respect their dignity.
