The number of bodies received by Tetouan’s forensic medicine service after the mass crossings into Ceuta rose to 20 on Saturday, after three more victims arrived, a source told Hespress.
The latest bodies were those of two unidentified young men and a Moroccan from Khénifra.
Six of the 20 bodies have been released to relatives after identification and legal procedures, while 14 remain at the morgue.
Most victims have not yet been identified. Confirmed identities include people from Casablanca, Martil, Ksar El Kebir, M’diq, Oujda and Khénifra, as well as two foreign nationals from Yemen and Sudan.
Prosecutors ordered autopsies on all bodies to determine the causes of death and complete judicial and administrative procedures before their release to families.
