The European Investment Bank (EIB) will continue supporting Morocco’s growth, prosperity, and social development, EIB President Nadia Calviño said on Wednesday in Rabat.
“Morocco is a strategic partner for Europe,” she told MAP at the end of her visit to the Kingdom, describing the country as a cornerstone of stability, security, and prosperity for the entire region.
The EIB President recalled the €365 million loan the Bank allocated to strengthen transport infrastructure, particularly the rail network.
Calviño noted that over the past four years, the Bank has tripled its financing for Morocco, supporting strategic sectors such as education, solar energy, and infrastructure.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the European institution and the Kingdom.
