More than 704,000 Moroccans living abroad entered the country between June 10 and 30 under the Marhaba 2026 reception operation, up 3.04% from the same period last year, according to figures from the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Airports handled 417,611 arrivals, or 59.25% of the total, while maritime entry points received 287,103 travellers.
Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport was the leading entry point, accounting for 25.45% of all arrivals. Tangier Med ranked first among sea ports, receiving 23.26% of the total.
The foundation said its teams assisted 9,118 Moroccans living abroad during the first three weeks of the operation.
Legal and administrative support accounted for most interventions, with 7,508 people receiving help. Medical teams treated 1,052 travellers, while 446 people were assisted with customs procedures and 112 received transport or logistical support to continue their journeys.
Several cases required emergency coordination. A Moroccan woman living in France was evacuated from a rest area in Tazaghine to Nador’s provincial hospital after showing symptoms of suspected appendicitis.
Foundation staff also helped a traveller whose car keys were lost while the vehicle was parked in Almería. Working with Morocco’s consulate, officials arranged for a tow truck to place the vehicle aboard a ferry bound for Nador.
Another woman was taken to El Hassani Hospital in Nador after falling and sustaining injuries aboard a ferry from Almería.
At Tangier’s Ibn Battouta Airport, teams assisted a Rotterdam resident who missed his flight after suffering complications linked to diabetes and heart disease. He received medical care, recovered his luggage and changed his ticket.
The 26th Marhaba operation began on June 10 through 26 reception centres, including 20 in Morocco and six in France, Spain and Italy.
