The African Union Commission on Monday welcomed the peace agreement reached between the United States and Iran.
In a statement, AUC Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf encouraged all parties to remain committed to the full implementation of the agreement and to continue their efforts toward achieving lasting peace, stability and cooperation in the Middle East and beyond.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also confirmed the agreement in a post on his X account, announcing that the official signing ceremony is scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19.
