Luis Enrique, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, reassured on Friday regarding the fitness of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, stating that he is “ready to play” in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League Final against Arsenal F.C. in Budapest.

“Hakimi is doing well physically. He is ready to play tomorrow,” the Spanish coach said during a press conference on the eve of the match, without confirming whether the right-back would start against the Gunners.

The Paris SG defender has completed three collective training sessions after several weeks on the sidelines following a thigh injury sustained in late April during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich. He was included among the 24 players selected as PSG seeks a second European title.

“The signs are positive for Hakimi and Dembélé, both returning from injury, as they participated in small-sided training matches and are candidates to start in the Champions League final,” sports daily L’Équipe reported.

The Spanish coach’s squad also marks the notable return of striker Quentin Ndjantou, who has been sidelined since December 2025 due to a hamstring injury.

All players from PSG’s typical Champions League starting eleven are available to Luis Enrique, who is nevertheless expected to choose between midfielders Fabián Ruiz and Warren Zaïre-Emery, the latter also having been used as cover for Hakimi.
