The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the attack on the city of Smara in the Moroccan Sahara, which left one person injured, expressing full solidarity with Morocco in the face of any threat to its security and stability.
In an official statement, the UAE Foreign Ministry denounced what it described as criminal acts and reaffirmed the country’s firm rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism aimed at destabilising security and peace in the region.
The ministry also reiterated the UAE’s unwavering support for Morocco’s legitimate sovereign rights over the Moroccan Sahara, stating that the UAE stands with Morocco in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, and territorial integrity.
The statement concluded that Morocco’s stability is a fundamental pillar for promoting peace and sustainable prosperity across the region, expressing confidence in the kingdom’s ability to address security challenges with wisdom and resolve.
