Magnitude 3.7 earthquake recorded near Tetouan

A light earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded near Tetouan on Thursday evening, according to specialised seismic monitoring applications and websites.

The tremor was centred in the Tetouan area and occurred at around 4:36 PM local time. Residents felt the shaking but no casualties or material damage have been reported so far.

The quake follows a series of aftershocks recorded on Wednesday, including one at 7:21 AM centred off the coast of the Mdiq-Fnideq prefecture.
