Six European clubs have moved for Ilian Hadidi after his breakout season with Standard de Liège U18s and his rise with Morocco national under-17 football team, turning the 17-year-old midfielder into one of the most closely watched young Moroccan prospects on the market.
Hadidi featured for Morocco U17 at the North African Football Union tournament in March 2026. On March 27, 2026, he was named Man of the Match after Morocco’s 3–0 win over Algeria, a performance that strengthened his growing reputation at youth international level.
At club level, he has progressed through Standard de Liège’s academy since the age of seven, advancing through every youth category before featuring for the club’s U18 and U23 sides. Standard has deployed him mainly as a creative midfielder, capable of playing as a No. 10, as well as in deeper No. 6 and No. 8 roles.
During the 2025–26 season, Hadidi captained Standard’s U18 side, scoring five goals in 15 appearances in the U18 Elite 1, while also making six appearances for SL16 FC in Belgium’s 1ste Nationale ACFF, the club’s reserve pathway, indicating he was already being tested above his age group.
Interest in Hadidi accelerated in April 2026, when Belgian and Moroccan reports said six European clubs had positioned themselves for the midfielder as his contract situation drew attention. The most frequently reported suitors included Borussia Dortmund, LOSC Lille, AS Monaco, PSV Eindhoven, AFC Ajax and Feyenoord Rotterdam, with some reports also mentioning Club Brugge KV among the wider circle of interest.
The growing attention follows his standout performances with Standard’s youth teams and his March 2026 impact with Morocco U17.
