The U.S. Mission in Morocco said it will relocate the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca to a new compound in Casa Finance City later this month, moving all consular operations and the Dar America cultural center to the new site in what it called “a new chapter in the enduring partnership between the United States and Morocco.”
Official U.S. Mission said April 21 will be the last day for American Citizen Services and visas at Boulevard Moulay Youssef, with services reopening at Casa Finance City on April 28. Dar America’s Gauthier site is due to close on April 10 and reopen in the new compound on May 5.
Ambassador Duke Buchan said, “As we open the doors to our new consulate general in Casablanca, we celebrate not only a modern symbol of American diplomacy, but also the enduring 250-year-old friendship between the United States and Morocco.” =
