The Russian Export Center (REC) announced it will host a large-scale “Made in Russia” pavilion at GITEX Africa 2026, positioning Russian technology companies as partners in advancing digital development across African markets.

The event, scheduled for April 7-9 in Marrakech, is considered one of the continent’s leading technology gatherings, attracting businesses, government representatives and investors seeking digital solutions for emerging markets.

REC said the pavilion will feature more than 20 Russian companies presenting a range of technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, financial technology, telecommunications, robotics and unmanned aerial systems.

The initiative aims to go beyond product showcases by promoting integrated digital ecosystems designed to support what organizers describe as “technological sovereignty.”

“Russian companies can offer African partners a wide range of solutions, from proprietary operating systems and telecommunications equipment to smart infrastructure and secure collaboration software,” said Alexey Andreev. “We provide not just products, but entire digital ecosystems capable of ensuring technological sovereignty and accelerating economic development.”

Among the participating firms are SpetsPromDesign LLC, which develops cloud-based access control systems, and Telcor LLC, specializing in mobile core network technologies. Some exhibitors carry the “Made in Russia” certification, which REC says guarantees quality, data security and readiness for international deployment.

REC highlighted previous participation at GITEX Africa 2025, where it facilitated more than 400 business meetings with African partners, including industry groups such as APEBI and AUSIM.

The state-backed institution said the initiative reflects growing demand for technology partnerships in Africa and aims to foster long-term collaboration with regional stakeholders.
