Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca said on Monday it had parted company with coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem by mutual consent, ending his spell in charge of the first team.
In a statement, Wydad said the decision followed an agreement between both parties and formed part of an internal reorganisation ahead of the club’s upcoming commitments.
The Casablanca side thanked Benhachem for his efforts during his time with the team, praising his professionalism, commitment and role in managing the side during his tenure.
The split comes after Wydad were knocked out of the quarter finals of the CAF Confederation Cup by Olympic Safi.
Moroccan sports outlet Hesport had earlier reported that Wydad’s management had reached an agreement with French coach Patrice Carteron, who is currently in Casablanca to finalise details related to taking charge of the club.
