Maritime connections between the port of Tarifa (Cádiz) and Tangier City were canceled on Friday due to unfavorable weather conditions in the Strait of Gibraltar caused by the storm “Regina,” according to the port authorities of the Bay of Algeciras.

Shipping companies Morocco Africa Link (AML) and Balearia suspended departures on this route starting at 08:00, according to information published on the passenger portal of the Port Authority.

Meanwhile, the port of Algeciras does not foresee, at this stage, any disruptions to its maritime connections with Tangier Med, where operations are expected to continue normally.

The port of Tarifa has already recorded several cancellations this week on the route linking Tangier City due to strong winds and heavy swells in the Strait of Gibraltar.
