The Spanish airline Air Europa has announced the expansion of its summer schedule with the opening of a new route to Tangier, scheduled to launch on June 17th.
This new service will initially operate with three weekly flights, before being gradually increased to five frequencies per week in August to meet the strong summer demand. The operation will continue until mid-September, the airline specifies.
As part of its summer program, Air Europa also plans to resume several seasonal routes departing from Madrid to Marrakech, Tunis, Athens, and Alghero, aiming to accommodate the increase in traffic observed during the summer season.
Regarding Marrakech, the route will be relaunched in early April with two weekly round trips, before being increased to five flights per week in July and August, and then reduced back to two weekly frequencies until mid-October.
In total, all of these services will represent more than 700 round-trip flights, providing an additional capacity of around 130,000 seats, reflecting the airline’s desire to consolidate its offerings to strategic tourist destinations.
