The provincial directorate of Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports in Taounate announced that in-person classes will resume at all educational institutions in the province starting Thursday, following improved and stable weather conditions.

In a statement, the directorate said the decision was taken in line with recommendations from the provincial monitoring committee. The resumption applies to all public and private schools, preschool education units and non-formal education centers.

The directorate called on school principals to take all necessary organizational and safety measures, in coordination with local authorities, to ensure students return under safe and appropriate conditions.

Classes had been temporarily suspended in parts of the province due to recent adverse weather, as a precaution to protect students and educational staff.
