Premier League clubs monitor Brahim Diaz amid uncertain Real Madrid future

Morocco international Brahim Diaz is edging closer to a potential exit from Real Madrid at the end of the season, amid a sharp decline in his role within the squad, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

The report said several Premier League clubs have begun closely monitoring Diaz’s situation as his playing time continues to dwindle at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Atlas Lion chose last summer to remain at Real Madrid despite receiving multiple offers, hoping to secure a place in the project led by former coach Xabi Alonso. That plan, however, failed to materialize, with his involvement dropping significantly from late September onward.

Diaz has played just 506 minutes in La Liga this season, starting only three matches, a sign of his gradual exclusion from the technical staff’s plans despite a promising start to the campaign.

A change on the bench following Alonso’s dismissal and the appointment of Alvaro Arbeloa did little to improve the Moroccan winger’s situation. He was limited to brief appearances against Villarreal in La Liga and Benfica in the Champions League, further fueling uncertainty over his future.

According to the same source, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are all tracking Diaz’s situation and could move should Real Madrid decide to allow him to leave during the upcoming transfer window.
