Egypt coach Hossam Hassan declined to answer a journalist’s question regarding his previous statements following his team’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.

The question, which Moroccan media members repeated several times, asked whether Hassan was blaming Moroccan stadiums and hotels for Egypt’s failure to score against Senegal in the semifinal.

“That is an impolite and disrespectful question, and I will not answer it,” Hassan said.

Footage from the press conference showed several Egyptian journalists walking out in protest of the Moroccan media’s persistence. The Egyptian media delegation also reportedly boycotted Nigeria coach Eric Chelle’s press conference.

Egypt and Nigeria will play for third place Saturday at 5 p.m. in Casablanca.
