Morocco’s Director General of National Security and Border Control, Abdelatif Hammouchi, held a trilateral working meeting Thursday with Francisco Pardo Becerra, Director General of Spain’s National Police, and Dieter Roman, Director General of Germany’s Federal Police.
The meeting, part of an ongoing series of annual security dialogues that began in Madrid in January 2025, focused on strengthening cooperation on counterterrorism, illegal migration, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and sports security. Officials also discussed regional security developments in the Sahel and Sahara and the operational integration of intelligence-sharing to ensure stability across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The visit included briefings on Morocco’s security protocols for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, highlighting digital technology integration, crowd management, and coordination of public security forces. The officials also toured Morocco’s African Security Cooperation Center, a hub for technological and operational coordination in sports and public security.
The three countries reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced operational, technical, and intelligence collaboration to counter cross-border threats.
