Morocco striker Hamza Igamane has fully recovered from the injury that sidelined him during the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations and is expected to be available for the last-16 match against Tanzania, sources told Hesport.
The Lille forward missed all three group games after picking up the injury with his club in France, but medical checks now indicate he is close to full match fitness. Technical staff consider him largely ready to feature, starting with Sunday’s knockout tie.
According to the same sources, Igamane has intensified his workload in recent training sessions, focusing on regaining sharpness and match rhythm in the hope of earning minutes as the tournament enters its decisive phase.
Morocco face Tanzania on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off set for 5pm local time.
The Atlas Lions topped their group with seven points, while Tanzania qualified as one of the best third-placed teams.
