Agadir authorities arrested a 37-year-old man on Friday morning for his involvement in the illegal sale of Africa Cup of Nations tickets.
The arrest followed a digital investigation into social media posts advertising tickets outside of official platforms.
Authorities subsequently tracked the suspect and apprehended him near a local shopping center. During the search, police found several match tickets and a sum of cash suspected to be proceeds from the illegal activity.
The suspect has been placed under judicial investigation supervised by the public prosecutor, as authorities work to uncover the full circumstances of the case and identify any potential accomplices.
