Egyptian fans thank Moroccans for filling Adrar Stadium in Agadir and cheering them on during Egypt’s match against Zimbabwe, played on Monday,  making them feel like they were playing at home.

According to social media videos, local residents were allowed free entry, and the stadium ended up packed with over 28,000 fans.

This initiative drew widespread praise from Egyptian fans across social media, as well as Moroccans, for having free access to one of the AFCON matches, creating a supportive atmosphere in the stadium.

“A big thank you to all our Moroccan brothers and sisters in the stadium today, cheering for Egypt from start to finish and making us feel like we were playing at home, not as guests at all. May this brotherhood always continue,” Elahly Today media said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Even Egyptian media hailed Morocco’s fans for their genuine brotherhood and warm welcome, moved by the joy and lively celebrations of Moroccan supporters after Egypt’s 2-1 win over Zimbabwe.

“The scene captured the genuine brotherhood between Moroccans and Egyptians,  with Egyptian fans celebrating and enjoying the excitement after the Egypt, Zimbabwe match, creating an atmosphere of warmth and mutual respect, a true reflection of the spirit of African football,” one X user commented.
